Advertising Cliche
1. Men are obsessed with sex but will forego sex in order to watch football or drink beer.2. Women are locked in a constant battle with their weight/body shape/hairstyle.
3. Career success is entirely based on your ability to impress your boss.
4. Mums are often harassed but NEVER depressed/unable to cope.
5. Any act of male stupidity (e.g. walking across a clean floor in muddy boots, putting the dog in the dishwasher, etc.) will be met with a wry smile, not genuine annoyance/anger.

Plastic Bags Part II
I can never have a perfect movie experience. There will still be inconsiderate people who bring "outside" food in. I guess it's fine if it's just a sandwich. The other day i went to catch Batman Begins, there was 2 fellas who were VERY busy with their food in their plastic bags during the trailer, holding and eating their food from their ZHUAR LONG! Nevermind... still trailers.... "You better finish before the show starts." They did. And they were spared. However another dude beside them was not so lucky. I think he brought his own peanuts 'cos they were in a clear small plastic bag. (GV don't pack them in plasticbags...do they?) And everytime he reached into the plastic bag for his nuts, DAMN NOISY lor! Inconsiderate fool. Knnccb. I turned around and told him to be quieter. He didn't say anything he just looked at me. It stopped for a while....And sometimes you sit in front of some dude who just always kick your chair. Stretch with consideration please. please.
And kids who talk. Parents please rein them in.
And nachos should be just banned. Popcorn...is like an icon when you think of movies so i can't ask it to be banned.
And LOUD chewing of chewing gums. "This is not your fucking own home theatre."
I don't know what to say anymore. Maybe i'm anal. i give up.

Incredulous!
Last weekend, a friend of mine ordered banana pratas from a prata stall in a halal coffeeshop at Jurong. When the uncle was done with the prata, he accidentally poured chili sauce onto the prata. Realizing his error, he smiled meekly at my friend, took a cloth and wiped off the chili sauce and poured honey over it. Incredulous! My friend was too shy too shocked, accepted and paid for the pratas. She got back to the seats and told us about the incident and asked whether she should still eat it! We went up to change the pratas. The uncle kept insisting that the cloth was clean. Another lady came by and told us the cloth was clean. "It's used to dry plates, it's clean." she said. *pop eyeballs*
Anyway we got our pratas changed.
And just today, a cashier ... gave back change to the previous customer and went out to make my food without gloves! I think the hawkers these days are getting lax.

Tio Pian Part II
Just the other day, a man approached where i was taking a break. He looked embarrassed and started telling me his story. His car's broken down at a public carpark nearby and he has called for a mechanic. However the mechanic insisted on full payment upon servicing and he whipped out his wallet to show his "broken" atm card. Hmm. Alright he look like a really decent businessman... so i whipped out my only note $50 bucks. He asked if i have smaller change and i said i don't. (Anyway i went to change into smaller denominations.) And passed him $20 and my namecard. He's supposed to call back and return it back.
It's been a week and he hasn't.

Tio Pian
So i was walking the streets in Orchard when i got stopped by a young girl doing a survey. So i entertained her with some answers and was about to go when she handed me 2 coupons and asked me to peel them off.
So i did. And apparently, i won the top prize lor. Since when have i been so lucky right? So anyway i had nothing to do, she convinced me to go up(to collect the prize) and be introduced to some travel deals. "No seminar one. But you must sit for 80mins hoh. To process the prize..." She says...with a pitiful face. WTF right? So stupidly i still went for it because I've been looking at traveling but no $ so no harm right? Besides she says she will get $100 "bonus" if i sit through the entire talk. ok lor.
So i followed her up to this decent looking office in a decent part of Orchard Road. Filled up some forms before the cockiest guy you ever seen walked in with a swagger and led me to a roomful of groups of 2-3 chatting away. I was like whoa!
So he started asking me if i like travel la....and his pauses are so long that u have to look around to avoid his weird gaze. "Like hello? continue what you want to say la!"
"To cut long story short"
I was given an impressive tour of what the "club" offers. Then he asked his big boss "can or not" and this guy (in heck care attitude) said "just try la..." I didn't know what they were talking about then. Now i know! Asked me to join their club. And the membership fee's 5 figures ok. Have to make decision there and then. They kinda offered better deals/installments (i give u special price la!) when i keep rejecting. Finally i told him nicely sorry no, i've got other financial priorities now. And you know what happened?? He stood up immediately..(i think he shook my hand) and say next time don't waste people's time if i'm not interested. Hello!? Who's wasting who's time!? I came up here, give you guys the benefit of the doubt (yeah i wanted my prize too) and you are saying that to me! Of course i didn't get to give him a piece of my mind and a footprint because he walked off without saying thank you or what not. TL right.
Met Chandra and Penny last night for dinner and drinks. And a friend of Chandra's somebody(gf?) worked there before. He said they will give 2 coupons. one sure lose. the other sure win. then they will call their 'boss' who will look REALLY EXCITED and tell u that there's only X sets of first prize and you are the 1st/3rd person to win it! Hosay ho. Yeah lor. It's all nicely worked out by them.
Anyway greedy lor..... i really want to travel....
